What WordFlex is.
A market for single words. One owner, worldwide, inside this site. That is the whole idea.
The product
Every word here can have one owner. If nobody has claimed it, you can — for $5.00. After that, the owner can hold it, list it, take bids, gift it, or keep it. Collectors build folders. The live tape shows claims, listings, and sales as they happen.
What you buy
You buy an exclusive claim on that spelling inside WordFlex. Your name is on the word. Other collectors cannot claim the same one while you hold it. That record is what trades.
What you do not buy
Not a trademark. Not a copyright. Not a domain. Not the right to stop anyone from saying, writing, or using the word outside this market. Ordinary words stay free in the real world. The rules are on Terms and Copyright.
How a word moves
- Find it. Open the market. Pick a language. Search a spelling. If it has never been claimed, it is still open.
- Claim it. Unowned words cost $5.00. Pay on Stripe. You are the first owner.
- Hold it. It sits in your collection. Put it in a folder. Gift it. Watch it. Or leave it.
- List it. Put it on the floor with an ask, or wait for bids. Fair Value reads recent sales so a price has a signal.
- Sell it. Someone pays the ask, or you accept a bid. They have 15 minutes to check out. Then their name is on the word.
One owner, worldwide
A word is unique by spelling, not by country. English, Japanese, Arabic — if that exact token is taken, it is taken for everyone on WordFlex. Languages on a card are a label, not a second copy of the same word.
The market surfaces
Market is the catalog — taken, still open, or listed. Floor is everything currently for sale, words and folders. Live is the tape: claims, listings, bids, and sales as they happen. Leaderboard ranks collectors by value, spend, words, sales, and languages.
Collectors
Your public page is /u/yourname — words, folders, and account value. Follow other collectors. Watch a word and we tell you when it lists or sells. Folders can list as a lot on the floor. You can gift a word you own.
How money works
First claim: $5.00, all to the platform. After that, when a word sells, the seller keeps 70% and WordFlex keeps 30%. Checkout is Stripe — claims, buy-now, the cart, and accepted bids. If a seller accepts your bid, you have 15 minutes to pay. Sellers set up bank payouts on Account → Payments. We do not refund because you changed your mind. If Stripe never captured the payment, you were not charged.
